Shawnee Smith is an American actress, singer and musician. Smith was born on July 3, 1970, and weighs 5'3". Smith's most famous roles are in the roles of Amanda Young and Linda on the CBS sitcom Becker. Smith fronted FydollaHo, a metalband with which she toured across both in the United States of America and Great Britain. Smith and Missi Pyle form the half of Smith & Pyle the group of Desert Country-Rock. Her parents are Jim Smith and Patricia Smith. Jim Smith was an ex-pilot in the United States Air Force. He was also a medical oncology and financial planner. Family members moved from South Carolina to Van Nuys California when she was one year old. Her parents split when she was two and her mother remarried when she was 8. She went to Ranchito Avenue elementary school in Panorama City Los Angeles, as well as Madison Jr. High School located in North Hollywood. North Hollywood High School is situated within North Hollywood California. In 1987, she graduated. Critics Choice Award for Best actor in a TV Comedy and the 2016 TCA Award for Individual Achievement in Comedy. With the songwriting team Jack Dolgen & Adam Schlesinger, Rachel won the Primetime Emmy Award on April 19, 2019 for Outstanding Original Music & lyrics for Antidepressants Are So Not a Big Deal. Rachel has already sold out Radio City Music Hall for a series of shows in 2019 performing Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. The next year, she took part on her own show What Am I going to do now?
